Oh, my Dear Sister! How my heart breaks for you! One of the worst wounds we can sustain as God's soliders is that of betrayal. It cuts so deep. Let me pray for you...
Dear, Sweet Jesus,
I come to you today on behalf of my sister and fellow laborer. There are so many things she doesn't understand right now. She and her husband are confused, hurt, and in grief over a ministry that did not turn out the way they had envisioned it. Please carry them close to Your heart. Assure them that it is their obedience that pleases You, and not the results of their labor. Help them realize that this story is not yet finished, that seeds have been planted and lives have been changed, that You are still Lord of the harvest and are more than able to redeem this bad situation. Heal the hurt and enable them to forgive and entrust their ministry past, present, and future to You.
I pray for this "betrayer" to be convicted and transformed into Your imagine. Take what Satan has meant for evil and turn it into something wonderful.
Use this couple as Your hands and feet in this new area of ministry You have brought them to. Help my sister find the job you have for her, and her place in their new pastorate. God, soften the hearts of the people to love this couple and minister Your grace to them.
I pray all of this in the name of Jesus.
Amen
When I first read through your request I thought of a book I read when my husband and I were on the mission field. I think it applies to your situation: These Strange Ashes by Elisabeth Elliot.May God bless you richly. May you feel His everlasting arms under you today.
